Hi, we're Kristy & Vero.

WHSKD started with two very different relationships with caffeine.

Kristy had basically given up on it. Coffee made her jittery, anxious, and feeling like she'd accidentally taken way too much Adderall. Then she tried matcha and everything clicked. It gave her the energy she wanted without feeling completely wired, and suddenly caffeine was back in her life.

Vero was never trying to solve a caffeine problem. Damn... she just really loved matcha. What started as making it at home quickly turned into experimenting with flavors, making syrups, testing recipes, and turning the kitchen into a full blown WHSKD R&D department.

Somewhere along the way, we realized we were onto something.

We wanted to make the kind of place we actually wanted to go to... really good matcha, really good coffee, fun flavors, and ingredients we could stand behind. Something that felt like us, instead of another copy and paste coffee shop.

So we started WHSKD.

What began as two girls making drinks for friends slowly turned into farmers markets, pop ups, long nights, way too many spreadsheets, questionable amounts of matcha, and a whole lot of figuring shit out as we went.

We're still figuring it out, honestly. But that's part of the fun.

We're just two girls who decided to take something we loved and see how far we could take it.
